Mike Monson is an audio post engineer, producer, composer, and founder of Monco Film + Sound, with over 15 years of experience across film, television, music, and commercial media. His work spans collaborations with internationally recognized artists including Rush, Alice Cooper, Metric, The Tea Party, and Our Lady Peace, alongside global brands and organizations such as Google, the NHL, Warner Music Canada, CBC Arts, Interac, and Sport Chek. Mike specializes in dialogue editing, sound design, music composition, and audio finishing for film, television, and branded content, with his original music featured across commercial, web, and television campaigns. In addition to his industry work, he teaches Audio Post Production and Digital Audio Workstations at Fanshawe College, where he mentors emerging creators in industry-standard tools, workflows, and career readiness. Through both his professional and teaching work, Mike is passionate about helping creatives build confidence through preparation, develop their voice, and navigate the path from classroom to career.

Mike’s day to day workstation is his studio/office located at Monco Film + Sound in downtown Hamilton.
